A term, a feeling that transcends 7 South African languages. Northern and Southern Ndebele, Swazi, Xhosa and Zulu – it means Spirit. The spirit embodied by air. (Air, wind, spirit, breath and soul).
Our show, born in South Africa with a message for the world. Our story of hope, unity, uprising – our spirit. Our expression, our music, our voice. From our cradle of humankind, to you with love.
Rising from our taverns, cities, townships and our hearts to you, our brothers and sisters across the world, we are South Africa, descendants of the sun.

UMOYA Vision
Afro, Afrohouse, Afrotech and Amapiano have taken the continent and world by storm. We always made great music in South Africa but suddenly, we’re recognised, truly! All over the world. Yet there is no South African show to underpin the music, tell its story, share its message and history and give global fans a feeling of all of the other incredible skills in South Africa beyond the music. UMOYA is all about taking our music blending it with our rich skills in show, production, design, set and storytelling and taking the experience to fans all over the world!
